How Long Does Relationship Meditation Take?

The average case usually takes 3 to 4 two-hour mediation sessions, spread out over a month or two depending on the specific situation.

What is the difference between mediation and therapy?

While relationship therapy and mediation help couples who are experiencing problems in their relationship, there are key distinctions between therapy and mediation. Relationship therapy uses psychotherapy to diagnose relationship dysfunctions (past-focused), identify patterns that you and your partner engage in, and establish new behaviors to help change those patterns, which tend to take a long time. Relationship mediation helps couples resolve disputes (forward-focused) and takes 3 to 4 sessions. Relationship mediation uses mediation techniques and takes specific interventions that are different from couples’ therapy or marriage counseling.

How much does it cost?

A mediated divorce is less expensive and time-consuming than going to court to litigate. No retainer required. Contact us to discuss fees.
